Video: Man who purposely crashed his Bugatti Veyron is going to jail
AdvertisementIt’s taken a few years, but this Bugatti Veyron has finally received justice. Back in 2011, a guy named Andy House crashed his 2006 Veyron into a Texas lake.
He claimed that an errant pelican caused him to swerve off the road and into the water. The car cost him $1 million to buy, but he had it insured for $2.2 million. You can probably see where this is going. After a long investigation, House has now pleaded guilty to insurance fraud and faces up to 20 years in the slammer.He might have actually managed to get away with the scheme if he hadn’t been a complete idiot.
For starters, the whole thing was captured on video. There was no sign of a pelican or any other bird or living creature in his path.
