Video: 1,000HP Nissan GT-R takes on 950HP Porsche 911 Turbo

Drag Race Tuesdays returns with a pair of powerful sports cars all spruced up for a day at the drag strip. This week’s competitors include a Nissan GT-R Alpha 12 with a tune from AMS against a Porsche 911 Turbo tuned by Protomotive in an incredibly close race that goes right down to the wire. Starting with the GT-R, AMS Performance’s Alpha 12 setup is a fearsome proposition built by the Chicago, Illinois-based tuners.
The 1,100hp beast represents a big boost over the stock twin-turbo V6. Its challenger comes from Arkansas-based Protomotive Engineering, where some of the fastest Porsches in the world have been built. Their representative in this heat is a 950hp Porsche 911 Turbo with plenty of acceleration to back it up.
