This isn’t a standard previous-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 – it’s packing a nitrous oxide boost.

One wouldn’t normally assume that even something as powerful as the previous generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 would stand a chance against a Dodge Viper. The latter also just happens to be the 1996 GTS version that was even more track happy than the original Viper RT/10. Thing is, the Grand Cherokee SRT8 has a secret weapon: a nitrous oxide boost, but is that enough to take on the notorious snake with its 8.0-liter V10 that’s good for 450 horsepower?

The Jeep is equipped with a 6.1-liter Hemi V8 that pumps out 425 ponies, but can that nitrous boost do the trick? Tune into the latest installment of Drag Race Tuesdays to find out.
