Video: 2,000-Hp Lamborghini Gallardo hits 400 km/h before catching fire
AdvertisementMonster Gallardo takes one too many trips down the drag strip. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a highly-modified Lamborghini Gallardo hit 250 mph before catching fire.
But that’s what happens when you tune an engine to have four times the amount of power it left the factory with. This Lamborghini Gallardo Nera from Underground Racing was pushing itself on the quarter mile, and on its final run hit the quarter mile at 9.871 seconds at 162 mph, and then the one mile mark at 22.352 seconds at 244 mph.
Clearly the 5.2-liter V10 couldn’t handle the strain any longer, and the result was, well, check out the video and see for yourself.
