Video: 2000HP Corvette Vs. Nissan GT-R drag race

This week’s edition of Drag Race Tuesdays pits a monstrous Corvette against a similarly souped-up GT-R.

The Vette is one of the few cars that can handle serious horsepower at the crank, which is why they’re so popular with tuning firms that specialize in performance upgrades. But the GT-R is also capable of handling serious modifications. AMS Performance recently created a 1,400hp Godzilla, and here we have a similarly modified GT-R. These monstrous sports cars battled it out on the strip at a recent Texas Invitational Event, with the blue C6 packing 2,000 horsepower up its sleeve thanks to a pair of turbochargers. We’re unfortunately in the dark about the Nissan GT-R.

From the result of the very tight race, it’s clear the Japanese supercar killer must have been putting out at least four figures, otherwise it wouldn’t have come close to keeping up with the plastic fantastic.
