Having a tire blow out while you’re driving is a harrowing and sometimes panic-inducing thing to have happen, all the more so if it occurs on the highway. So, the time when you definitely don’t want to have it happen to you is just as you’re crossing the finish line at Sydney Dragway while going 244mph.
That’s what happened to the Motis Racing Outlaw Mustang in the following video, with the tire blowing just as the car finished the run and deployed the chute. It sounds pretty terrifying, but it’s hard to argue with a 6.13-second quarter mile time, it’ll just take a bit of prep before it’s ready for the next pass.
