Tough Truck competitions are popular side-attractions at arena races and four-wheel events across the country.

Basically a run-what-ya-brung event with only certain safety guidelines (and in some cases, none past seatbelt and helmet), the idea was to put a typical street vehicle through an obstacle course that would test the endurance of the vehicle and rattle the holy hell out of the driver in the process. And that was at the professional level!
Hint: This is not the professional level.

This took place in Hunnewell Valley, Maine sometime near 2008 and is more-or-less a free-for-all. You’ll see full-size trucks take on Toyotas and Nissans and you will feel sorry for every last one of them. The jumps seemed designed to springboard the back end of the truck up into the air, there was a spot to do a donut, then another jump and a bunch of tires, including a tractor tire. And some of these racers drove these trucks to the track…hopefully not the guy with the Bronco II, however. That story doesn’t end well.
