It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means: that’s right, a drag race. This time the Ferrari 458 Italia takes on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Given its layout, you might think the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG would be better compared to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. But an inspection of the specifications reveals that it’s actually a much closer match for the 458 Italia. Both the SLS and 458 pack V8 engines with approximately 570 horsepower, run to sixty in about three and a half seconds, top out around 200 mph and cost about $200,000. But which one is faster in a straight line? That’s what a couple of owners set out to find out on what looks like a closed-off construction road or maybe a runway.

The video, which we bring you for this week’s installment of Drag Race Tuesdays, is worth a watch, just try not to cringe when they turn off onto the side road and you can hear the stones chipping away at the paint.
