Video: Ford GT Sets 455 kmh Top Speed Guinness World Record

This Ford GT created by Performance Power Racing managed to set the Guinness World Record for top speed in a street car.

The world record attempt took place on NASA’s shuttle landing facility at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This Ford GT managed to set a world record top speed of 283.232 mph (455.82 km/h). This is a lot faster than the Veyron. The secret behind this success is an engine with an output of 1,700 hp and a newly developed alloy, called pandalloy, which was used for manufacturing various parts.
