Video: LaFerrari and Sesto Elemento face off on desert highway

You know that mythical desert road you fantasize about going flat-out on in some ridiculous, unobtainable exotic?

It’s in Qatar.

Both the LaFerrari (which looks excellent in yellow) and the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento pictured apparently belong to Qatari businessman and royal family member Nasser Al Thani, which is probably why running the track-only Sesto on a public road isn’t such a big deal in this instance. The Lambo gets the jump on the rolling start, only to get reeled in effortlessly by the 962-hp LaFerrari:

It’s like a clip from the final act of Need For Speed, only the cars aren’t replicas.

Remember, kids: Street racing is stupid, even when you have around $4 million worth of unobtanium-forged supercars to play with.
