Drag trap time makes the McLaren the second quickest production car on the planet (for now).

A McLaren 12C recently ran the quarter-mile time in 10.55 seconds, making it the second quickest production car in the world after the Bugatti Veyron. The run took place at Palm Beach International Raceway using a 2013 model with the upgraded 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 pumping out 616 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Using launch control, the car sprinted from standstill to sixty in 2.9 seconds, had reached 100 mph after just 5.9 seconds and his the quarter-mile in 10.55 seconds at 134.56 mph. The supercar’s VBOX also recorded a 60-130mph time of 6.59 seconds.

The time puts it ahead of the Lamborghini Aventador, but with the McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder yet to drag, it’ll likely soon be bumped down a place or two.
